Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work on OpenCart 4.1?
Yes. The pack ships with a properly-namespaced install controller that OC 4.0.x and 4.1.x both recognise. Verified on 4.0.2.3 and 4.1.0.3.
Will it overwrite my custom translations?
No. The pack only adds new rows under the Turkish language_id. Your existing English content and any other installed language stays untouched.
How do I install it?
In OC4 admin, open Extensions → Installer, click Upload, select the .ocmod.zip you download from your Codeison account. Then go to Extensions → Extensions → Languages, find the Turkish row, click the green + Install button. Refresh the storefront — done.
What happens when I uninstall?
The language switcher entry disappears and the extension files are removed. Translation rows in oc_product_description etc. are kept intentionally — uninstalling and reinstalling never loses hand-edited translations.
Is the translation machine-generated or human?
The base translation is generated with Google Translate and then reviewed for OpenCart-specific terminology (cart, order, checkout, shipping, SKU, etc.). Customer-facing text is accurate; some developer-facing technical strings may read slightly literal.
Do third-party extensions get translated too?
Only the extension's author can ship Turkish translations for their own strings. This pack covers the full OpenCart core. If a third-party module is missing Turkish, its author needs to add it — the pack does not monkey-patch other extensions.
What if I find a string that is wrong?
Open a support ticket from your account dashboard with the English source + your suggested Türkçe replacement. Corrections ship in the next update, free for existing customers.
Can I use it on multiple stores?
Yes — one license covers all stores owned by you. For agency use across client stores, contact us about an extended license.
Do I get future updates?
Yes. When OpenCart adds new strings in a patch release, we re-translate and you can download the updated pack from your account for free for life.
